What actions can I take if a paramedic is neglectful?

Emergency medical technicians and paramedics have very difficult jobs. They are tasked with keeping patients alive in situations that can be dangerous. They have to do this on the scene of an accident, as well as in a vehicle on the road while they are heading to the hospital. Even though these professionals have difficult jobs to do, they must ensure they are doing their jobs properly. While it is true that EMTs and paramedics help to keep people alive, they can also cause harm if they act in a neglectful manner.

Postpartum hemorrhages are life threatening

When a woman gives birth, she is going to experience vaginal bleeding. There is a fine line between normal bleeding after birth and a postpartum hemorrhage. When a woman experiences postpartum hemorrhaging, she is facing a life-threatening condition that must be properly managed. Failing to properly manage the bleeding can lead to maternal death, which can lead to a legal claim for compensation from the family members who are left behind after her death.

Anesthesia blamed for child's brain injury

A child who was placed under anesthesia for a surgery recommended by an ear, nose, and throat doctor suffered from complications after the surgery and now has permanent brain damage. Her family has filed a lawsuit in federal court over the issue. The anesthesia manufacturer and the hospital have been named in the lawsuit.
